Saturn S Series Wagon

The Saturn S-Series Wagon was added in the S-Series model line-up between late 1992 and early 1993 with trim levels SW1 and SW2.
Throughout the years of the Wagon's existence, like its sedan and coupe sisters,
it had received changes and innovations as Saturn's aim of producing best performance
cars. Much of its specifications and dimensions, however, are almost constant.
Basically, the wagon features steering and suspension with a hydraulic power-assist
steering, a front disc/rear drum brakes, front anti-roll bar. Almost all trim
models across its year of existence also have full wheel covers though it has
a different tire features. In the interior, most S-Series wagons have bucket front
seats, a manual reclining feature, cloth faced seats, cloth door trim insert and
a folding rear that varied features across the model years.
Most trims of the wagon also have dual manual outside mirrors and a driver front-impact
side airbag for safety. Before the wagon was discontinued, there were still some
enhancements on its features like passenger depowered airbag, front and rear head
restraint, rear wiper and theft deterrent system that are standard. There have
been also more optional equipment and features such as front fog lights, traction
control, AM/FM stereo with CD player, soft leather seating and keyless entry among
others. The S-Series wagons, with its other sisters, were also popular as it can
be towed without any speed or distance restrictions. However factors such as declining
sales, the coming of the L-Series, and the need for rooms for the upcoming production
of SUV, give Saturn the decision of discontinuing it in 2001. The SW1 was first
dropped in 2000 followed by the last production of SW2 later that year.
